Kenya AA is considered to be one of the world's best coffee beans. The high growing altitudes means that the beans grow slower than at low altitudes, providing more nutrients and allowing them more time to develop their flavors and mature.

Kiambu, being very close to Nairobi, has a long history with regards to coffee production. It is home to many of Keyna’s largest and oldest coffee estates. This coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,700 – 2,200 meters and benefits from growing in red volcanic soils. These soils are great for growing coffee because they are rich in nutrients and provide acidity that coffee plants thrive on.

We are roasting this coffee to a medium to dark color to bring out the rich and heavy body. Flavor notes are dark chocolate, red currant and molasses with lively acidity.
